Group Hopes To Help Organizations Save Energy

By Michelle Mantel

With a couple months of winter still left, and bitterly cold weather tonight, there's plenty of ways to keep yourself and your home or business, warm and efficient.

For businesses, the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce and TRICON construction organization are collaborating efforts to save energy locally.

They are sponsoring Building Performance Walk-Thru Programs.

The Peoria non for profit agency, Goodwill, was the first participant in the program.

TRICON energy experts walked through parts of Peoria's Goodwill Industries to inspect the building to try to help the organization preserve energy and other maintenance costs.

Goodwill CEO Patty Fuchs said, "Teams inspect companies building envelops, lighting, and mechanical systems."

Each walk through takes up to 2 hours.
