What is the average price per square foot?
This will vary depending on (a) the interior amenities a Buyer desires, such as floor coverings, cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures, lighting, high efficiency heating and cooling, etc., and (b) the exterior choices such as brick, stone, stucco, siding, etc.
What would be a reasonable time for completion and when can we move in?
This depends on the type of home plan you choose, the time of year that you start your new home and the access to the property (such as, if it is in an area with posted roads or a new subdivision).
How do you handle changes/upgrades?
Any changes are agreed upon between Builder and Buyer before they are made. Typically we would have an upgrade price for the Buyer and create a change order that would be signed by both Buyer & Builder. We would keep track of all change orders during the building process so we can keep the Buyer updated on their overages.
How do I know when i need to make my selections?
As soon as contracts are signed, the Buyer is given a timeline for construction that will assist the Buyer know what selections have to be made and the priority. This timeline will give the Buyer dates so they know exactly how much time they have to make a particular selection.
How do we know where to go to make our selections?
We give our Buyers a list of all suppliers and strongly recommend they use them to avoid being overwhelmed with all the possibilities out there. Our in-house Construction Coordinator will also assist the Buyer in making an appointment with suppliers as well as go with a Buyer to either assist in the selection process or just to give a second opinion.
Do we need to have a house plane before we can come in to meet?
Buyers can bring their house plan in to us or our in-house Designer can create a new house plan or make changes to an existing one to better suit the Buyer's needs.
What type of warranty do you offer?
We warrant that the home will be free from defects in materials and workmanship regarding the roofing, structural and foundation for a period of one (1) year from the date of completion. We will also assist in dealing with and providing any manufacturers warranties.
