    HOI 19 Kids Count and CEFCU will award $1,000 grants bi-weekly to Heart of Illinois classrooms. If you know of classroom that is in need of money for supplies, classroom tools or other educational necessities then apply for an HOI 19 Kids Count One Class at a Time Grant.

    Susan Schafer is a PE teacher at St. Mark school in Peoria.  She was nominated for a One Class At a Time grant by her principal, Noreen Dillon.   Susan hopes to spend her $1,000.00 on heart rates sticks and yoga mats for her PE classes. Susan is a very dedicated teacher that can be found exercising right alongside her students.  She says you need to teach by example.
