    Police are investigating a shooting in the East Bluff neighborhood in Peoria. Although details are scarce, Police say a shot spotter sounded at 4:10 p-m, alerting authorities near the 900 block of Archer. Police found a man with a gunshot wound on the 800 block of East Arcadia, about a block south minutes after they arrived on scene. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No suspect information at this time.

    Millions of Americans will get a small boost to their social security checks next year. The government announced Friday a two percent increase to social security benefits to help offset rising prices. The average monthly check is estimated to increase to 14-hundred-and-four dollars in January -- that's an increase of 27 dollars. The two percent increase is the highest since 2012 when retirees got a three-point-six percent raise.
