Coming back to the Peoria area has been like coming home for me. Although I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, both of my parents are from Central Illinois (Groveland and Green Valley.) As a result, most of my holidays, winter breaks, and summers were spent here visiting grandparents and extended family.

"Yes, but will it play in Peoria?" I never thought this saying about whether a story, trend, taste or idea would appeal to the "average American" would one day come to be part of my daily life.
