The easiest way to get your 40–dollar government coupon is to sign up for one using our website, week.com. Click on News Links, then Digital TV Signal Converter Box. Click here and it will take you to the Federal Government sight in charge of mailing out coupons.

There's a countdown as to how many days until the analogue signals will be turned off. To the right click on number three... where you sign up for the coupon. To apply for a coupon you need to give your name and address. You also have to answer a question about whether you use any cable or satellite service. You can also sign up for one or two coupons. Those forty–dollar coupons will go toward buying a converter box which will enable your old style analogue TV read the free digital signal. Click on submit and the website will tell you if you inadvertently left out any information. You can also check on the status of your coupon. I applied for my two coupons earlier this year. And according to the website, run by Uncle Sam, they have processed my information and are getting ready to mail it.
Satellite and cable companies will be doing the digital conversation for their customers automatically. But if you watch TV for free with rabbit ears, sign up for a coupon for that digital converter box, which are available in electronic stores now.

If you are not computer savvy... there is also a toll free number you can call: 1–888–DTV–2009.
Many people are signing up for the coupon, so be patient if you are put on hold.
